Our partners
Lifetracks isn't just a website; it's a whole new programme for 16 to 25 year olds, run by Rathbone, Skill, YouthNet and the Foyer Federation.
The Lifetracks partners have got together to create on-the-ground and online services, including engagement teams, workshops, helplines, Lifetracks.com and a range of volunteering opportunities.
Rathbone
Rathbone works with young people who don't feel ready for work or further learning. They help young people discover their ability to succeed, and then support them to go on to college, training or employment. They do this through a range of tailor-made programmes, out-reach work, courses and apprenticeships. To find out if they can help you, contact your local Rathbone centre.
Young people involved in Rathbone programmes can get involved with Lifetracks by becoming peer mentors. Mentors use their first-hand experiences to support other young people, helping them overcome negative peer pressure and to return to learning, training or work
Skill
Skill promotes learning and employment opportunities for all people over 16 with any kind of impairment. This includes physical and sensory disabilities, learning and mental health difficulties. They do this through a free information and advice service, available on 0800 328 5050 (phone), 0800 068 2422 (text phone) or by email.
The Foyer Federation
The Foyer Federation works in partnership with a network of Foyers across the UK. Foyers provide young people in need of housing with somewhere to live, alongside other services such as guidance and support, and access to learning and work. To find out if a Foyer could help you, contact your local Foyer or call 020 7430 2212.
Young people from the Foyer network can get involved in Lifetracks by becoming Ambassadors and Community Champions. Ambassadors use their experiences to mentor and coach other young people, encouraging them to enter or re-enter learning, training or work. Ambassadors also contribute to the content on the website by sharing their experiences and talking about the issues faced by their peers. Community Champions get involved in campaigning for change in their area. They look at gaps in local services and campaign for the changes needed to improve support for young people seeking learning, training and work opportunities..
